8.  INJURIES TO PASSENGERS ABOARD YACHTS AND RECREATIONAL BOATS,CRUISE SHIPS AND STATE FERRIES

 

          As opposed to seamen, passengers are not guaranteed a safe vessel.  Passengers are entitled to "reasonable care under the circumstances."  That is, passengers can bring claims for injury only if they can prove that the injury was caused by the negligence of the vessel owner.
